So I just love pinterest...it's a hobby I have..lol! No but really it has alot of great ideas, where I get most of mine. SO I wanted to share with you some really cute, fun, easy things you can do with your children for Easter.
An Easter Blessing tree...have everyone write down things that God has done for them that they are thankful for, place them in the eggs, and hang them on the tree. Helps my family make Easter about Jesus and not just bunnies with eggs
It's week 3 and I'm getting excited as Resurrection Sunday is coming up, this Sunday to be exact! Have you been contemplating the death of Jesus? I know I have and it's been humbling and convicting. But knowing that He took victory over our sin and death....that's comforting. We are so blessed! Let's live lifes for Him today. Put all aside and serve God, serving Him is never useless!
This week we are going to learn about "Why the Resurrection Matters?"..
Here is this weeks Challenge:
Read Luke 24 –the resurrection account of Jesus. Stand in AWE!!! Whatever you are facing today – take it to Jesus. He is alive! He loves you and He wants you to bring all your burdens to Him.
Liz shared this song in our email and I wanted to post on here, to refer back to. Such an appropriate, encouraging worship song I love it!! Thanks Liz...love you sweet sis!
This week I am changing up its more of a reflection....and because I missed putting up on Monday.
" What the Crucifixion means for us"
Week 2: Challenge:
Because of what Christ did for us on the cross, we are no longer slaves to the sins in our lives that so easily entangle us. We now can have God’s forgiveness of our sins, embrace the grace He extends and look forward to our hope of heaven. Despite what is going on around us in this world, we have a bright future to look forward to when we get to heaven. This week focus on what Christ’s crucifixion means to you and how you are going to honor Jesus with the new life, the second chance, you have been given. Write it out and share it with your group or a friend.
Reflection on the Challenge: This was very humbling as I have been struggling with a few things, my heart was becoming callus. Looking around at things I began to get disappointed and angry at why some Christians do things intentionally or for their own good. I began to look at their faults, flaws, and began to get these impressions in my head of them. But I started to realize that I need not take certain things personal it's their walk that is failing not mine and that I need to pray for them. Only God knows what they are going through and struggling with as I am. I need to have grace and mercy towards them and also forgiveness. If God forgave me how much more do I need to forgive them. Easy right? I wish it was, it's a daily dying to flesh process. Just like the bible says " We need to crucify our flesh daily". Jesus gave me a new life, a second chance and I'm not going to blow on some measly senseless things. I am going to honor him by giving this to Him and allowing Him to work in my heart and seeing others as He sees them. And then pray for those who are struggling.
Memory Verse:

Here is what a daily email will look like
Why S.O.A.P. it?
It’s one thing to simply read scripture, but when you interact with it, when you learn to slow down to REALLY read it, suddenly words start popping off the page. By SOAPing your verses you are able to dig deeper into scripture and “see” more than if you simply read the verses and then went on your merry way. Let me encourage you to take the time to S.O.A.P. the daily verses and see for yourself how much more you get out of your daily reading……you’ll be amazed.
What does S.O.A.P. mean?
S- The S stands for Scripture- you physically write out the scripture……you’ll be amazed that what God will reveal to you just by taking the time to slow down and actually write out what you are reading!
O- The O stands for observation- what do you see in the verses that you’re reading? Who is the audience? Is there a repetition of words? What words stand out to you?
A- The A stands for Application- this is when God’s Word becomes personal. What is God saying to me today? How can I apply what I just read to my own personal life? What changes do I need to make? Is there an action that I need to take?
P- And finally P stands for Prayer. Pray God’s Word back to Him. If He has revealed something to you during this time in His Word, pray about it. Confess if He has revealed some sin that is in your life.
Studying God’s Word like this can take as little or as long as you have time to give. Some days it can take just 10 or 15 minutes, other days longer.
How do I S.O.A.P.?
Here is a personal example….{source www.goodmorninggirls.org}
Colossians 1:5-8
S- The faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth. You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
O- (Many times I just bullet my observations……what I’m seeing at first glance when looking at the verses)
When you combine faith and love, you get hope.
We have to remember that our hope is in heaven…….it is yet to come.
The gospel is the word of truth.
The gospel is continually bearing fruit and growing from the 1st day to the last.
It just takes one person to change a whole community…..Epaphras.
A-Something that stood out to me today was how God used one man, Epaphras to change a whole town!!! I was reminded that we are simply called to tell others about Christ……it’s God’s job to spread the gospel….to grow it and have it bear fruit. I felt today’s verses were almost directly spoken to GMG…..“all over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.” Isn’t it fun when God’s Word becomes so alive and speaks directly were we are at?!!!! My prayer today is that all the women involved in this Bible study will understand God’s grace and have a thirst for His Word.
I will be sending you an email on Sunday just like the soap method above. Like I said in video do not feel obligated to send like that. I do because it's easier for me. You can send an email with whatever the Lord lays on your heart. Please make sure to subscribe to this blog for notifications of post, vlogs and more. I will be posting all resources here for that.
